The world’s first wearable 3D printed shoes

‘Melonia’, the world’s first pair of wearable printed shoes. A creation of two Stockholm students, Naim Josefi and Souzan Youssouf, the Melonia shoes made their debut at Stockholm Fashion Week back in February.

Spindly, skeletal and a little bit scary looking, these shoes open up a whole new creative avenue for commercial fashion. Whilst 3D printing techniques have, up until now, been used mainly for creating fiddly industrial parts, this new aesthetic experiment means that a more fashionable potential is being seen for the technique. Who knows where it could lead?!

[everythingstyle] The dress is from Forever 21 ($29.80).  The socks are from Target ($4.99, a pair of 3).   The hat is from the men’s section at Target ($14.99).  The belt ($6.99) & shoes ($22.00) are both vintage.  The Bracelets were thrifted and under cost $6.00.  The navy blue blazer is vintage, but you can find blazers in the boys section at shops like Target, Macy’s, Walmart & JcPenny.   Always be sure to check your local thrift shops for good deals as well.
