Paris, June 25, 2010. Designer: John Galliano
The Vibe for Spring 2011:
The expected Galliano showmanship, but this time it’s Charlie Chaplin by way of a dark alley. This is not the Little Tramp; it is the Little (male) Strumpet. That said, there is some of the usual Galliano craftsmanship, as in the leather bombers and jackets as well as the newsboy caps.

Paris, June 24, 2010. Designer: Jean Paul Gaultier
History: A former assistant of Pierre Cardin, Gaultier blazed the bad-boy trail that would subsequently be followed by the likes of McQueen and Galliano. Best known for his outlandish designs (and presentations), Gaultier has lately toned things down, culling his repertoire to essentials like suiting (albeit with drawstring pants, glazed-linen fabrics, or button- and lapel-less jackets) and new interpretations of his signature horizontal stripes.
