Valentino Haute Couture S/S 2010 Paris
I love Valentino but I have to agree that keeping quite about this “designers” is stupid. How can you let some utterly destroy a brand like Valentino. This collection is disgusting. I say that not because its not the Valentino we are used to but because it truly disgusting. I have to wonder were they even paying attention to the work that was being done before they took over. I cant see any client even thinking of wearing any of these monstrosities. I am seriously sick to my stomach after seeing this.

Oh I like this!
The hair sometimes is a little bit distracting but it keeps the outfits interesting. Am I the only one who thinks that the hair has a certain Anime-character mood? Rainbow Brite maybe? I think it’s cute.
The color palette is good, sherbet-like. It’s like eye candy. Funny thing, I didn’t see a lot of “neon” here, which is good.
Overall I liked this. The metalics were fine here and even though it has some new elements, it is true to what Lagerfeld has been doing for Chanel without being boring.

There are many takes on this style. Kate Hudson wears hers in beach waves. Just spritz a little curl spray in towel dried hair and dry roughly. Another great take is to scrunch tons of mousse throughout your hair, then dry using a diffuser, or curl hair loosely, then run fingers through for the ultimate natural look. Failing that, if you want minimum input and maximum output, wash and condition hair, towel dry, twirl medium sized strands of hair, then pin up using Kirby grips. Shake out in the morning and spritz with hair spray. Good to go

I love it that he constantly shows how he’s able to combine fabulously desirable suits and semi-daywear with over-the-top theatrics and themes and still make it look good. His shows and collections just ooze energy like that. If only he was able to find that balance in some of the other stuff he designs
